CONTRIBUTE
It's about independence, pride, freedom, dignity, courage and opportunity.
It's about your contribution, joined with other
charitable gifts, that
enables us to live our mission.
SEMCIL, through our many programs and
services, have helped thousands of persons with disabilities, their families
and caregivers over the past 25 years.
Our missions include assisting
persons with disabilities to become independent and productive community
members and to provide services that promote, maintain or return you to
optimal health.
- Physical and cognitive disabilities are challenging. High
school students face fear and uncertainty as graduation time arrives. Your
contribution to SEMCIL can help calm those fears.
“It was a good experience. I was afraid of what would happen
to me after High School, but not any more.” (Student participant,
Transition & Independent Living Assessment)
- Being home bound because of an illness or accident is devastating.
There are many people who find they must rely on canes, walkers,
wheelchairs and scooters while still living in homes that are not
accessible. Your contribution to
SEMCIL can help ensure communities; towns and homes in southeastern
Minnesota are architecturally accessible.
“Before SEMCIL build my ramp I was a shut in and could
hardly get out of my home. The ramp has given me my life back. I can
go out on the landing myself, feed the birds and squirrels, talk with
my neighbors and just sit in the breeze and smell the fresh air. Thank
you so much.” (Marie, recipient of the Ramp Project)
