SEMCIL is a Personal Care Provider Organization (PCPO) and PCA Choice Provider registered with the Minnesota Department of Human Services. Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) and Homemakers may assist with:

PCA recipients must be able to direct their own care, identify their independent living and healthcare needs, communicate their needs effectively, and require PCA services to live in the community. |

| Eligibility, type and amount of services are determined and authorized through a PCA Assessment for Services. Contact your County to request an assessment. | ||
| Services are available to consumers covered by MN Medical Assistance (MA), or County waivered services such as CAC, TBI, DD, CADI, EW or AC waivers. Service and payment authorization must be completed before services may begin. | ||
| PCA Traditional | ||
In 1988 SEMCIL began offering Personal Care Assistant and Homemaker services. This program is known as Traditional PCA.

| PCA Choice | ||
Consumers who choose PCA Choice do so because they want the control and flexibility of hiring, training, scheduling and managing their PCA(s). SEMCIL service components include:
